| So I started my fist day of 4th year rotations today, and I got off early! I love it when people cancel their appointments so I can go home early, especially when I have a lot of stuff to do, such as laundry, clean house, and work on getting the car taken care of after the wreck on Saturday.
We got back from Reno, NV on Friday from a mission trip. It was an amazing experience. We helped a church out there called Discovery Fellowship with their VBS and we did other mission projects including taking water and supplies to the fire fighters of the Lake Tahoe Fire and to the victims as well. I'm looking forward to a busy 4th year and graduation next May!!! | | |

| I made it home yesterday around 6 and I'm glad to be here. I'm really emotionally tired from being away for 6 weeks, something I didn't really expect. Now I have a test to study for. Hope everyone has a great day! | | |
| I will be leaving the town of Odessa on Wednesday and I can't wait. Yesterday the neonatologist said that they have neonatology electives here if I would like to come back, how about no. I will be doing some away rotations next fall, but they will be at places where I can possibly have a residency, and since they don't have a pediatric residency program here, I won't be coming back. I'm praying that this weekend goes by fast, cause while i've been here I have hated weekends. Week days fly by cause I am super busy with work and then studying, but weekends all I have to do is study so it gets boring and seems like the day takes forever. I really just want to go home. I can't believe that I have been away for 5 weeks already though with only 2 and a half days at home during this 5 weeks. Only a few more days and I will be at home with Jonathan. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Until! | | |
| I've now been in Odessa for 4 weeks, minus 2 and a half days when I was at home last weekend. This town isn't that bad of a place, just windy and dry, and hardly any trees. If Jonathan was here it would be a lot better. I only have 10 more days, that counts today, till I am home for good. My next rotation is being done in Mansfield and it's from 8-5 every day and no weekends, and no test at the end to study for. I start my Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(NICU) week tomorrow and I am super excited about it. We get to spend every morning this week in the NICU learning how to care for critically ill babies. Afternoons on Monday-Wednesday will be spent in clinic and we have Thursday and Friday afternoons off. I can't believe that my 6 weeks here is almost over! I'm going to a different church today than the one I went to last time. Since I'm not looking for a church home it's easy to just pick a church to go to. Next Sunday I think I'll choose a non-denominational church instead of a baptist one. I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday and rest of the week. Until! | | |
